Hey, today is Thursday (if you’re reading this on the day the issue hits the streets), and you know what that means — cocktail time! And luckily for us, today the cocktails are tax deductible. In a show of bipartisan support (really, what better than booze to bring the parties together?) MB Public Affairs, headed by GOP strategist Mark Bogetitch and Acosta/Salazar, the Democratic campaign firm headed by Roger Salazar and Andrew Acosta, will be co-sponsoring a charity Happy Hour tonight (that's Thursday night) at 5:30 PM at Gallagher’s to benefit the kids at Camp Hope. Camp Hope is a free weekend camp for kids age 6-16 who have recently lost a parent or close loved one. A $25 dollar donation is recommended. And finally, some good news from a former reporter. Sam Delson was married over the weekend to Dr. Madeline Marcus at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in SF. She is a pediatrician. The two are now off honeymooning on the high seas in Europe, but will be back in plenty of time for Election Day…And it looks like just before Election DAy, President Bartlett is not being a very good Democrat. Martin Sheen, the actor who played the president on the West Wing has bucked his party leadership, and has endorsed anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan in her Quixotic quest to unseat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco’s 8th Congressional District. Jimmy Smitts could not be reached for comment…
