Capitol Weekly presents: A Conference on Housing
March 9, 2023

Capitol Weekly presents an update on California’s housing crisis at a day-long conference on California Housing Policy, held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Sacramento.

For years, the Golden State has had the highest home prices in the US, one of the lowest rates of home-ownership, and the most people living on the streets.

The governor, legislators and local leaders have made improved Housing affordability a priority, and have enacted significant reforms. A score of experts, insiders and elected officials will look at the policy solutions being proposed to help: What’s working and what isn’t?

Three panels of experts present fast-paced discussions of these issues and take your questions. A pdf program with photos and bios of the participants may be viewed here.
