The Health Care Players
Capitol Weekly talked to a number of lobbyists, advocates and staff involved
in health care and health policy issues and asked them to name the most
influential players in the health care debate. Some of the names may be
unfamiliar to readers, and other obvious choices, like the chairs of the
various health policy committees, are not on the list. These were the names
that emerged as consensus picks among those who are in the trenches on
health care policy debates.

California Chamber of Commerce
As the Chamber’s chief legislative advocate and specialist on health care
issues, Cain helps articulate the position of business leaders inside the
halls of power. The Chamber took a big part in the referendum on SB 2, and
continues to play a major role in the formation of health care policy.
