Skinny

When session starts back up every two years, there always seems to be one freshman Assemblymember who just pops up everywhere. Two years ago, it was Alyson Huber, D-Lodi. This year it’s Richard Pan, D-Sacramento, whose face seems to be showing up at every other public event we know about. Pan also won a closely-divided seat in AD 5, explains spokesman Brian O’Hara. “He is working at light speed to engage with the community. It’s been a Republican seat for a number of years, so he’s reaching out to engage every constituent group he can.” Which also describes Huber’s seat, so here’s to close elections…And congrats to GOP flaks Darrel Ng and Jessica Hsiang, who will tie the knot on April 9. Hsiang is a veteran on the Carly Fiorina Senate campaign and now works for Sen. Anthony Canella. Ng is a Schwarzenegger and Poizner vet took over for Ohio-bound Seth Unger as communications director for the Republican Caucus, but we’ll always think of him as the food blogger behind CowTownEats.com
