Personnel Profile: Jeff Bissiri

Jeff Bissiri recently stepped down as California director of the Log Cabin Republicans, which he served as for the past two years. While he’s been active with the gay Republican organization for 15 years, Bissiri returned to Los Angeles to reconnect with his passion for architecture. Bissiri spoke by phone to Capitol Weekly to reflect on his time in Sacramento, and also said that he isn’t ruling out a return to state politics.

Can you give us an overview of your career?

I’m a professional architect and was licensed in 1986. I went to Cal Poly Pomona and graduated in 1982. I became active with Log Cabin in the mid ’90s as a volunteer and then became a chapter leader in Los Angeles in 2003.
