“What happens now on the budget?”

Now that IOU’s are a done deal, they hammer out a compromise. It may take a week. It will involve structural budget reform and trade Cal Works and Cal Grant survival in a reduced form. It will be a total budget solution, probably with cigarette taxes. I bet we also get an omnibus reform package to go on the ballot before they adjourn.

Too bad the media doesn’t do its job and spend time figuring out and exposing what they are really doing.

Hollingsworth resigns to follow Phish, Bass leaves to run for LA dogcatcher, Governor gets a spine and a clue to go with all those muscles, and Steinberg shows up in a “Cuts Rock!” t-shirt–and then we get a budget.
