"Every six years, Republicans think Barbara Boxer is vulnerable and every six years they get fooled. Is 2010 the year that Boxer gets beaten?"

Not by Carly Fiorina.  She makes Al Checchi look like a successful businessman — and a serious voter.

No chance. Winning a statewide Republican primary requires pleasing the “heads on a stick” fanatics, and that makes you unelectable in a general election. Boxer is safe.

As far as opponents go, no politician in history has been as lucky as Boxer.  Apparently that will continue in 2010 — Carly carries too much baggage, Chuck DeVore is, well, you know, and so forth.  It’s embarrassing.

This is the year, but we will not see Senator Chuck anytime soon…except that annoying guy from New York.

You can’t beat Boxer with the kind of stiffs she always runs against. DeVore fits perfectly in that category; and if it is Carly Fiorina, Boxer gets to run against a candidate even more unctuous than she. Gag me with a spoon, but it’s six more for Boxer, yes ma’am!

Not even close….

I keep hearing that 2010 will be a Republican year. Maybe in Alabama. When it comes to CA, I’ll believe it when I see it. The one Reep who could have won it messed up by getting elected governor and then thoroughly screwing things up.

If someone gets Fiorina to pony up some of that corporate fat-cat executive pay she banked for all those years.

Oh how I wish it were so. Apparently we Republicans don’t think so because we have no viable candidate. Carly is managing her so-called campaign like she did HP and getting the same results. And what’s-his-name is just plain too far to the right to win. Tom Campbell on the other hand would make a good, positive, very supportable candidate. I think he should run for the Senate. He’d have a shot.

Republicans never will figure out how to run a strong candidate against her and Boxer will also reside, not in the ring’s corner, but on the back bench.
