The deal is not coming together or falling apart — there never was a deal.

The environmentalists will watch the Central Valley become a dust bowl before they do a deal.

We expect a deal, the Governor signed all those bills in trade didn’t he. Shouldn’t we take him at his word?

Looks like there will be a deal. Of course everyone will play their brinksmanship games so it’ll appear to fall apart several times first.

Republicans will again demand abolishing the 8-hour day in exchange for their support. But after a couple of the usual tedious all-nighters, something will get done around 6 a.m.

Let’s quit screwing around and get the initiatives going…it’s time we solved this “crisis” California style!

No deal which will guarantee legislative votes for passage. And, can you spell “REFERENDUM”?

John, as one who knows nothing about water issues, my impression is that a deal could come together if enviros are willing to build some water storage facilities…..
