We received a curious notice this week from the Steve Poizner for Governor campaign. It wasn’t the fact that the Silicon Valley Reep was starting a social networking campaign in the run up to the June 2010 primaries. It was the fact that the contact number on the release had a Washington D.C. area code. We figure the least you can do if you wanna be governor of California is to give the press a call back number that is within the state of California. Call it a free early piece of campaign advice…Speaking of campaigning, it’s official: Sacramento City Councilman Kevin McCarty has opened a committee to run for Dave Jones’ Assembly seat. McCarty, a former staffer for Denise Ducheny and Cruz Bustamante, is well known among the Democratic Capitol set, and is likely to have some well-attended fundraisers in the very near future…Speaking of parties, we love this time of year. Sure, Christmas, Hanukkah, and all that, but the real reason is that the Back to Session Bash is less than a month away!
