Today is Thursday, April 6, and you know what that means: It’s exactly eight
weeks until Election Day! At least that’s what you’d think from a pair of
campaign-walk pieces that urge voters to go to the polls on June 8, two days
after the June 6 primary. The first victim of the chronological confusion is
Cynthia Murray, a Marin County supervisor who is running to replace Democrat
Joe Nation. A recent four-page walk piece runs through Murray’s record on
the Marin County Board of supes, all of which is in preparation for the big
conclusion. “On June 8, Democrat Cynthia Murray for Assembly. Experience
that measures up.” Well, that experience doesn’t quite measure up with our
