Hollywood celebrities, eat your heart out: The star-filled Capitol Weekly got a nice write-up in Sacramento Magazine’s June issue, accompanied by a two-page pic of our distinguished newsies perched on a table with Capitol Weekly’s signature sign. The story was friendly and nicely written by Anthony Pignataro, much to the relief of Editor John Howard, who babbles during interviews and invariably says the wrong thing, like, “Voters are the weak link in a Democracy.” This time was no exception: Howard, in a discussion targeting CW’s passion for the insider political audience, declared, “I don’t care about real people!” Quotes like that follow you around awhile … Susan Kennedy, who served as chief of staff to former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, cabinet secretary to Gray Davis and was a regular No. 1 on our Top 100 list, is headed to join the Georgia-based law firm of Alston and Bird as a policy consultant.
