There are more than 80 public pension funds in California, ranging from giants like CalPERS and CalSTRS to local funds operated by cities and counties. While critics call for changes to the system, labor seeks to protect a secure retirement system for their members. This day-long conference will look at what comes next.

Nearly two dozen experts, including state and local officials, regulators, union leaders, pension reform activists, journalists and fiscal analysts will discuss the future of Public Pensions in California.
