The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) would like to respond to the April 4, 2022, op-ed by Californians for Green Nuclear Power in Capitol Weekly, titled, Closing Diablo Canyon spurs fears over replacement power. It is highly inaccurate to suggest that the State plans to replace Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant mostly with Wyoming coal-fired generation.
Trump offered no evidence about California voter fraud in his series of tweets. Trump spokesman Jason Miller cited a national study done by the Pew Research Center showing that approximately 24 million voter registrations in the United States are no longer valid or inaccurate. However, no one from Trump’s office has shown evidence of “serious voter fraud” in California.

Calpensions: An appeal of a San Jose pension reform ruling that could cause the state Supreme Court to revisit “vested rights” may be halted by a settlement with unions, if candidates aligned with the policies of Mayor Chuck Reed are defeated next month. Labor unions opposed to the pension reform are backing a candidate for mayor to replace Reed and three candidates for open city council seats, more than enough to shift the power balance.
