The week in political donations

For only the second time since losing the Democratic primary for governor,
Steve Westly has opened up his wallet, giving $3,200 to Democratic
Assemblywoman Nicole Parra, D-Hanford, which represents a Central Valley
seat that is a perennial target of Republicans trying to gain seats in the
Assembly. His other donation was to $2,100 Sen. Debra Bowen, D-Marina del
Rey, who is running for secretary of state.
