Dear Big Daddy,

As a longtime labor lobbyist, I was dismayed when some of the biggest headlines of the early session went to Sally Leiber’s spanking bill. We’re finally tackling health care and prisons, but here come my fellow Democrats with more culture war fodder. This follows the fine traditional of dog tethering and taxing yard sales. I hate to agree with Ray Haynes, but could we please concentrate on some more pressing issues? So, Big Daddy, what do you think of the spanking bill?
