Transportation guru and Los Angeles city lobbyist Andrew Antwih has a new gig. Antwih has signed on as a partner in Josh Shaw and Paul Yoder’s firm in the newly christened Shaw / Yoder / Antwih, Inc… And here’s proof that not everything is better than a life in journalism. Chris Bowman, recently laid off after more than 23 years covering the environment for the Sacramento Bee, has landed a new job doing communications and legislative work for the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) at Cal/EPA. But Bowman may have moved from the frying pan into the fire — Gov. Schwarzenegger’s May budget revision proposes eliminating the agency…In the game of musical committee chairs, Joe Coto takes over the gavel at G.O. from Curren Price, who moved over to the Senate on Monday. Coto will also take Price’s seat on the Assembly Appropriations committee. Jose Solorio gives up his Public Safety chairmanship to take over for Coto at Insurance, while Juan Arambula takes over for Solario at Public Safety. Arambula has given up his seat on the budget committee, and as chairman of the subcommittee on state administration, which will be taken by San Francisco freshman Tom Ammiano.
