Though there are three of them on the ballot, not a single Baca received an
endorsement out of last weekend’s Democratic Party convention in Sacramento.
In Joe Baca Jr.‘s case, the endorsement went to his opponent for the state
Senate, Gloria Negrete McLeod. In the 62nd Assembly District, where Jeremy
Baca is running against under-funded candidate Wilmer Amina Carter, the
party opted not to endorse. Ditto that none-of-the-above vote in the 43rd
Congressional District, where Rep. Joe Baca Sr. is running unopposed.
