Smackdown: Portantino vs. Ashburn

 Things got a little testy at the end of this week's Assembly Higher Education Committee. Toward the end of the hearing, Sen. Roy Ashburn tried to respond to criticism of his bill, SB 182. But something in his comments was not to the liking of Assemblyman Anthony Portantino, D-La Canada Flintridge.
