Glenda and Dustin Corcoran – we think Glenda did the heavy lifting here  –  had a healthy baby boy on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 9 a.m., 8 lbs., 4 oz.  His name is Fletcher Steven Corcoran, and his middle name is in honor of the late Steve Thompson, Dustin’s mentor at the California Medical Association.  We don’t believe in omens, of course, unless they’re interesting, and here’s one: Fletcher was born on Inauguration Day, so maybe Fletcher one day will take the presidential oath on his birthday. Or maybe he’ll do something more important and become a doc and heal the afflicted. He could come by Capitol Weekly… Speaking of Capitol Weekly, a woman walked quietly into our newsroom Wednesday and snatched a purse belonging to one of our staffers. The thief was blond, 30s, dark pants and white tennis shoes. If you know who she is, tell us so we can spell her name wrong…
