Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

Thank you for your article regarding the 41st AD race. Barry Groveman
certainly is courting the developer crowd here in our district, which
extends from Santa Monica to Oxnard and the West San Fernando Valley along
the magnificent coast and encompassing the Santa Monica Mountains National
Recreational Area.

As a co-founder of Heal the Bay, I am proud to have been endorsed by the
first environmental group to take a position in my race: Clean Water
Action. The National Women’s Political Caucus has endorsed me–a
challenging decision for them that was based primarily on viability. Several
unions, including the Building Trades, the Utility Workers, the Deputy
Probation Officers (an AFSCME local) and the Teamsters decided early to
support me. In fact, the local Building Trades raised nearly $20,000 for my
race this fall.

My grassroots candidacy is inspiring voters throughout the district:

Martin Sheen has recently penned a letter encouraging voters in our
district to support me!

I invite you to visit www.KellyForAssembly.com. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Kelly Hayes-Raitt
