Democrats hold out hope in AD 10

Democrats were clinging to hope Thursday that they may yet pick up another seat in the state Assembly. Thousands of uncounted ballots in the four counties that make up the 10th Assembly District could tip the balance in the last remaining unsettled Assembly race.

As of Thursday, Democrat Alyson Huber trailed Republican Jack Sieglock by 1,035 votes. But there are thousands of uncounted ballots still remaining in the four counties that make up the district – Amador, El Dorado, San Joaquin and Sacramento.
