Capitol Weekly, Adam Probolsky join forces to offer political polling

Probolsky Research LLC, a public opinion research and polling firm, and Capitol Weekly, California’s only newspaper devoted solely to state government and politics, have joined together to create the Capitol Weekly/Probolsky Research Poll. Data from the first survey will be published Feb. 5.

The new statewide survey of California voters will be conducted quarterly, with the results published online and in print in Capitol Weekly (www.capitolweekly.net) as well as at www.probolskyresearch.com.

Adam Probolsky is president and CEO of Probolsky Research, with offices in Laguna Hills and Sacramento. The firm provides services to corporate, government and political clients.  “This is an exciting partnership for us,” Probolsky said.  “We look forward to asking the more interesting questions regarding California government and politics for Capitol Weekly.”

The publishers of Capitol Weekly are Arnold and Karen York, who also publish the Malibu Times. Their son, Anthony York, is the editor of Capitol Weekly.

“We are proud to partner with Adam Probolsky and his team at Probolsky Research,” Anthony York said. “Our readers will benefit from unique research performed by one of California’s premier opinion research organizations.”

Capitol Weekly, founded in 1988, originally was a state-employment paper providing government job listings. In 2005, it was redesigned to include news and analysis of state politics and the state government community. The paper’s web site also provides detailed salary listings of legislative and executive-branch jobs, as well as a complete listing of available state positions.

Probolsky Research is a full service opinion research organization, with government, corporate and political practice areas. It conducts telephone surveys, field studies, focus groups, benchmark polling, image testing, tracking polls, exit polling and community attitude surveys,  among other services.
